About the Tools

My Plan helps students organize their thoughts, track steps, and develop a clear plan for the future. Under each students’ My Plan, they’ll find a host of tools that will make college and career planning as easy as 1-2-3, including:

My Goals, which helps students stay on track by allowing them to identify, set, and monitor their academic, college, and career goals;
My Journal, which allows students to reflect about their past, make connections to their present, and plan for their future;
My Experiences, which allows students to keep track of their strengths, what they like, what they don’t like, and experiences to help them build their future resume for internships and other opportunities; and
My Documents, which gives students free storage space to save important college, career, and financial aid documents such as college essay drafts, letters of recommendation, award letters, and others.

Below, we’ve developed materials that you can copy or download to get the word out in your district.

During the month of May, we hope you’ll encourage students to use their My Plan on CaliforniaColleges.edu to keep track of their college and career-related reflections, experiences, and documents.

My Goals, which helps students stay on track by allowing them to identify, set, and monitor their academic, college, and career goals;
My Journal, which allows students to reflect about their past, make connections to their present, and plan for their future;
My Experiences, which allows students to keep track of their strengths, what they like, what they don’t like, and experiences to help them build their future resume for internships and other opportunities; and
My Documents, which gives students free storage space to save important college, career, and financial aid documents such as college essay drafts, letters of recommendation, award letters, and others.
