This session provides a comprehensive look at the College and Career Exploration Tools with a focus on the tools available to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on CaliforniaColleges.edu, including:

- Educator Reporting tools that can be leveraged to provide targeted programming support and monitor student participation
Financial Aid Tools Overview
This session provides educators with a comprehensive training on the Financial Aid Tools available on CaliforniaColleges.edu, which are designed to help students learn about, apply for, and complete their financial aid applications and to help educator track students’ applications and lesson completion. This session covers:
- Financial Aid Lessons
- FAFSA/CADAA application launching and tracking
- Educator reporting tools that can be leveraged to provide targeted intervention and improve application completion

Financial Aid Tools Overview for College Access Organizations
This session is designed for staff from college access and community-based organizations who work with partner schools and districts to provide support to students as they learn about and apply for financial aid. It covers the Financial Aid Tools available on CaliforniaColleges.edu for students. This session covers:
- Financial Aid Lessons
- How to launch a FAFSA/CADAA application
- How students and parents/guardians can track a financial aid application
Financial Aid Community of Practice
This session facilitates a Community of Practice meeting for educators. Attendees will learn best practices and implementation tips from presenters who have used the Financial Aid tools on CaliforniaColleges.edu at their sites and then have the opportunity to share and hear ideas with other educators from across the state to implement these tools.
Educator Report Workshop: Financial Aid Application Completion
This session focuses on the CaliforniaColleges.edu reports designed to support educators in your work to increase FAFSA/CADAA application completion rates. This session covers:
- How to run FAFSA/CADAA application status reports on CaliforniaColleges.edu
- How to identify students who have not yet completed an application
- How to target specific student populations for application support
Spring Planning Tools for 11th and 12th Grade
This session is designed to help educators use the tools on CaliforniaColleges.edu this spring to prepare 11th graders for the college and financial aid application season in the fall and provide 12th graders with resources as they graduate. This session covers:
- Financial Aid Lessons
- Career Assessments for college and career decision making
- CSU and UC A-G Eligibility Tools for summer school planning (to support increased A-G eligibility in the fall)
- A primer on the CCC, CSU, UC, and FAFSA/CADAA application integration tools (launch, course import for CSU and UC)
- A checklist for graduating seniors (adding a secondary email for future platform access, using My Experiences for resume-building, etc.)
Spring Planning Tools for 9th and 10th Grade
This session is designed to help educators use the tools on CaliforniaColleges.edu this spring to sequence your college and career readiness work for early preparation. This session covers:
- CSU and UC A-G Eligibility Tools
- Academic Planner
- Career Assessments
- College/Career/Major Search Tools
Course Management Portal (CMP) Overview
This session is designed to help educators leverage the reporting tools on CaliforniaColleges.edu to maintain CMP match rates and address a-g course list misalignment during the UCOP Primary Phase: February 1 – June 30. This ensures that all of your eligible students receive the appropriate credit for their coursework in CSU and UC applications for the upcoming Fall 2026 application cycle. We strongly recommend this session for educators who manage the CMP list for their district/school site. The session covers:
- How our CSU and UC Eligibility Tools interact with the CMP (including dual-enrollment and special cases)
- How to identify CMP mismatches using CaliforniaColleges.edu reporting tools
- How to fix CMP mismatches on your district’s/school site’s CMP list
