Financial Aid Tools Overview for College Access Organizations

This session is designed for staff from college access and community-based organizations who work with partner schools and districts to provide support to students as they learn about and apply for financial aid.   • How students and parents/guardians can track a financial aid application

This session focuses on the CaliforniaColleges.edu reports designed to support educators in your work to increase FAFSA/CADAA application completion rates. This session covers:

  • How to run FAFSA/CADAA application status reports on CaliforniaColleges.edu
  • How to identify students who have not yet completed an application
  • How to target specific student populations for application support

Spring Planning Tools for 11th and 12th Grade

This session is designed to help educators use the tools on CaliforniaColleges.edu this spring to prepare 11th graders for the college and financial aid application season in the fall and provide 12th graders with resources as they graduate. This session covers:

  • Financial Aid Lessons
  • Career Assessments for college and career decisionmaking
  • CSU and UC A-G Eligibility Tools for summer school planning (to support increased A-G eligibility in the fall)
  • A primer on the CCC, CSU, UC, and FAFSA/CADAA application integration tools (launch, course import for CSU and UC)
  • A checklist for graduating seniors (adding a secondary email for future platform access, using My Experiences for resume-building, etc.)
